"Cast Offs"

"Cast me not off in the time of old age" Psalms 71:9

When things get old and they lose their shine, we tend to throw them away.

Old buttons, day old chickens, our elderly - all find their way to the back alleys. Some forage, some give up, while the young look away. The elderly, the worn out, are invisible: represented by clear buttons. The gold and silver buttons were rescued from the trash. The purple fabric is from the song "When I'm an old lady, I'll wear purple."
