"The Unbuttoned Shirt"
Many of the sexual harassment and rape descriptions include buttoned
shirts. It's either that the top button on the female's shirt was unbuttoned and
revealing (therefore very suggestive and seductive-claims the male), or that the
assailant ripped the buttons from the blouse, what in many times marks the
beginning of a rape.
40 buttoned shirts, in a wide spectrum of colors and
textures (represent the variety of females harmed) are sewn to a black stripped
fabric, usually used in men's suits. The safety pins are about the victims state
of mind.
Over imposed are rails, made from 3 leather buttons used in male suit are a
reminder of "The Scream" by Edward Munch.
Rape is a crime of
violence that has nothing to do with how a female is dressed.
