It started as a humorous quilt about Brancusi and us, planned it for a whole year, even had the title...but one day (like the day before the deadline...) while working on the quilt, I found myself day dreaming about Amiri (shame on me, shame on me, shame on me) and decided to change it to the union of spirits... dedicate the quilt to him and our coming 20th anniversary... I know it's soooo corny...that was when I knew I'll use all these special buttons...
I didn't think I'll be doing a quilt using the Song of Songs... Let him kiss me with kisses of his mouth... His left hand is under my head and his right arm embraces me.. This is my lover this is my friends o' Daughters of Jerusalem. These sentences are stenciled on the quilt.
Needless to say- passion is priceless!!!!!! The quilt is not for sale ;-)
