This piece is a sewing machine drawing. I began with a simple idea and elaborated on it. Because of this "drawing" technique, the quilted texture varies unexpectedly & becomes a three-dimensional drawing.-I've also.come to regard the signature (or, in this case, the name stencil),as an element integral to the work.
