I'm a child of the 1950s, and my introduction to romance, Love and kisses (and probably just about everything else!) was through the flickering eye of the TV screen, watching old movies. It was a glittering fantasy world where everything seemed possible. Of course I learned in time that things don't always turn out quite as easily as they do in the movies, but some of the "fundamental things" still do "apply as time goes by."
