For years I've been keeping the unique, antique, glass and other special buttons for a special quilt.

"O' Daughters of Jerusalem"- was that special quilt!!!!!!!!

I used every button that I had without giving it a second thought if I'll need it for something else, as I usually do!

BUT as you know, insurance company don't give a dame about sentiments or emotional value of a quilt - for them it's either material cost or something similar you sold. So this was the first time that I could determine exactly the material costs....i was just surprised cause i thought it was around $200...but they do add up... it's just a dollar here and there.. The comment about the fabric was related to how much mini quilts are insured in quilts show (300-500)...the material is not the big chunk of this...they value our work for 100 per square foot. So this for embellisher means even less... (The kiss quilts are insured for a thousand dollar during the tour)
